The Time I Did Something On My Own
All eyes were on me,the crowd was so silent that you could hear a penny drop if it did.I nervously went up to the plate.I shook as if it was Alaska. The ball came as fast as a bullet, with no warning whatsoever.”Strike one” the umpire shouted “Strike two” he yelled again
We had just arrived at the softball fields and were warming up.We did all of our warm ups then the game started.
We had played back and forth the best we could “The other team is good but we are better” said the coach.By the end of the game we were down by one point.I was up to bat. With my teammates cheering me on in the background I walked up to the plate. She threw the ball lightning fast.
I had two strikes and three fouls “Ok,you got this a strike or you go this” I thought to myself and I swung.
I ran to third base quickly without looking to see if I even hit the ball.”We Won,We Won ” I heard the team say.”Yes Yes Yes” I thought to myself “I did it”.
From this event experience I learned that even if it’s hard and I don’t think that I can do things
even when I’m under a lot of pressure I can.
